Funding for Crime Solutions ended on the 31st July 2009. UCLan have now established a Crime Reduction Unit and the University of Portsmouth have established the Centre for Counter Fraud Studies.

Crime Solutions was designated by the Higher Education Funding Council for England as a Centre for Knowledge Exchange for the anti-crime sector, operating around the four hubs of:

Crime Solutions was open to anyone, from businesses to representatives from the public, higher education and voluntary sectors. The project was co-ordinated by the University of Central Lancashire, in partnership with the University of Portsmouth.
